2009 Cowboy Christmas Art Auction

The 2009 Cowboy Christmas Art Auction, held on Dec. 5 in downtown Ritzville, featured a night of live entertainment, superb cuisine and about 60 pieces of artwork from acclaimed artists.

About 20 limited edition, framed prints and other artwork were sold in the silent auction with the remaining 40 pieces, mostly originals, sold during the live auction.

Proceeds from the benefit event will generate funds for the Ritzville Downtown Development Association. Those funds will be used to cover the expenses for the 2010 Historic Ritzville Days Western Art Show planned for Memorial Day weekend.

Artists who participated in the 2009 show donated the art for the Christmas auction to the RDDA, which hosts the annual art show.
