Artists to draw local ‘celebrities’ on Sunday

A flutter of activity and a round of boisterous laughs will emanate from Pioneer Plaza this Sunday, May 24, as a full contingent of Cowboy Cartoonists International artists will steal the show with a quick draw of local celebrities.

During the afternoon quick draw event, each CCI artist will ‘capture’ a celebrity in a western-themed piece of art.

At the end of the quick draw, which begins at 1:30 p.m., the artwork will be auctioned. The artists and the Ritzville Downtown Development Association will split the proceeds 50/50.

The roster of celebrities includes Mayor Linda Kadlec, Adams County Commissioner Rudy Plager, Sen. Mark Schoesler, Ritzville Area Chamber of Commerce President Connie Galbreath, Ritzville School District Superintendent Dwight Remick and businessman Sam Duncan.
